Terms of Service

1. Who may use KindSaga
You must be at least 18 and the parent or legal guardian of each child whose profile you create. Children may not create accounts or agree to these terms themselves — a parent does so on their behalf and is responsible for their child's use of the service.
2. What KindSaga is
A child dictates a story idea; our AI writes a chapter in age-appropriate English at the child's reading level; the child reads it. Stories are generated automatically and are works of fiction. Story Worlds provide a safe, fixed setting for each story.
3. Accounts and child profiles
You are responsible for keeping your password secure and for all activity under your account. You may add child profiles up to the limit of your plan, and you may edit or delete them at any time. You confirm that the information you provide (including each child's age band) is accurate.
4. Pricing during the beta
KindSaga is free during the closed beta. No payment details are collected. When paid plans launch, we'll give beta families clear notice first — nothing converts to paid automatically. Children never see pricing, upgrade prompts, or any purchase option; billing is parent-only.
5. Acceptable use
You agree not to: misuse the dictation input to attempt to generate unsafe, sexual, violent, hateful, or otherwise harmful content; attempt to circumvent our safety filters; use the service to collect information about other people; resell or commercially redistribute generated stories; or use the service unlawfully. We apply strict, layered safety filtering to every dictation and every generated chapter and may refuse, redact, or block content that violates our safety rules.
6. Content and ownership
Your family's stories belong to your family. For the limited purpose of operating and improving the service, you grant us a licence to store, process, and display the dictations and generated stories within your account. We do not publish or share your child's stories publicly without your explicit action. The underlying software, Story Worlds, characters, and prompts are owned by us and are licensed to you for personal, non-commercial family use only.
7. Safety and moderation
Child safety is a release condition, not a feature. We filter both what a child dictates and what the AI generates against strict guardrails (including CSAM, grooming, solicitation, self-harm, and explicit-content protections). Some safe requests may be blocked out of caution. A parent can report any chapter for review from the reader; we review reports within 24 hours.
8. AI-generated content
Stories are generated by AI and are fiction. While we calibrate for reading level and safety, generated text may occasionally contain errors or imperfections. KindSaga is an educational/entertainment product and is not a substitute for professional educational assessment.
9. Changes, suspension and termination
We may change, suspend, or discontinue parts of the service, and may suspend or terminate accounts that violate these terms or present a safety risk. You may stop using the service and delete your account at any time; on deletion we remove your family's data as described in our Privacy & Safety policy.
